Hi, I’M L. P. WILLS

Welcome to the journal — this is not of perfection, but of process. A quiet corner where I write what I’m learning, healing, and talking to God about. And maybe, just maybe, what you talk to Him about too.

He wrote the story. I’m just turning the pages.

On a line, we add words. Carved from the lightest boxes and the deepest rivers. They flow from my essence, stretching across the lines that once held my silence, we write. we turn. we return. Line after line until the lines become art, and the art becomes memory, and the memory becomes message.

Behind the eyes. Beneath the skin. Within the vessel—a song. Every time I exhale, I whisper His name. YHWH. I feast on His Word. I run to His side. I’ve been placed in this world—and it’s getting darker outside.

I stand at a crossroad. But really—there’s only one way. I lean not on my own understanding, like a sheep who needs a shepherd. I die daily to the self society sculpted—picked, burned, blamed, and painted into fear. I will move not on impulse, but by instruction. Like a piece in His hand on a board He already sees the end of. Not checkers. Not chess. But something positioned—not for the win, but for His will.

DAILY REMINDER

For your light to carry.

"A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deed and glorify your father in heaven."

Matthew 5:14-16 NIV

Short Story

PERFECTLY

FOREVER

A woman with blonde hair and a bracelet on her wrist is sitting in a car, holding a rearview mirror and looking at her reflection. The background shows a rainy cityscape with tall buildings and raindrops on the window.

This morning, I was someone’s wife. By nightfall, I was sitting in a bar with mascara on my cheeks, a ring in my pocket, and a storm unraveling in my chest. And somewhere in the middle of all that pain… God whispered, “Now, begin.

HELLO

I’M L. P. WILLS

I write to remind us all that Jesus meets us in every moment — in joy, in tears, in the in-between. I’m not perfect, but I’m present. And I pray these words remind you:

You’re not alone. He’s still writing something beautiful in you, too.

Here you’ll find poetry, stories, and raw notes from the journey — always pointing back to the Author of it all.

A storyteller led by faith.

A child of God from Mississippi with a notebook full of words and a heart rooted in faith. For years, I kept my writing hidden — afraid of being seen. But God met me in the quiet and showed me that my voice was part of the calling.

This space is where I write what I feel, question what I’ve seen, and reflect on the journey of healing, purpose, and trust in God.
